We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the pages you visited. We will not sell or allow third-party use of your personal information.

Security Policy

Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our secure sockets layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.

Refund Policy

All refunds will be provided as a credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days upon receipt of your written request and upon the receipt of the returned merchandise (if applicable).

Shipping Policy/Delivery Policy

Please be assured that your items will ship out within two (2) days of purchase. We determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: US Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx; we do not ship to PO Boxes. If you are trying to estimate when a package will be delivered, please note the following: credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing. Federal Express and UPS deliveries occur Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. If you require express or two (2) day shipping, please call us at (585) 394-7070 for charges.

Class Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration for a class up to 72 hours in advance of the class starting time and receive a full refund or transfer to another class of equal value. To cancel a registration, contact The Center between 10am and 5pm seven days a week (holiday hours can vary; voicemail is available). No refund or exchanges will be given on classes that are cancelled less than 72 hours prior to a class. Groups of six or more that register for a class are bound by a 7-day cancellation policy rather than a 72-hour policy.

NYK reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, or due to educator illness or inclement weather. We will contact you by phone or email and issue a full refund or you may request to be transferred to another class of your choice (depending on availability and value). Any class reservation change must be made 72 hours prior to the posted beginning of the class; otherwise it is considered a cancellation (see policy above). NYK will try to accommodate all date change requests without surcharge or penalty to the guest, but if the requested class is already sold out, waiting list status will be offered.

Other Considerations

“Act of God” Cancellations: NYK will recognize any “Act of God” cancellations, like a snow storm (6” of snow or greater) forecasted within 12 hours, icy roads, fire, etc. In the event of such an occurrence, NYK will not refund the guest registration but the guest will receive full credit without penalty for a future class. Note: An “Act of God” is an event that directly and exclusively results from the occurrence of natural causes that could not have been prevented by the exercise of foresight or caution; an inevitable accident.

Class Cancellations by NYK Due to Operational Issues: NYK reserves the right to cancel any class before, but not later than 72 hours prior to the posted date. Any enrolled guest can either be refunded in full or transfer to another class of their choosing. If a transfer to another class is requested by the guest, then the transfer will be given priority, even over any existing waiting list.

Instructor Changes: NYK reserves the right to change assigned instructors at any given time without notice.

Menu Changes: NYK reserves the right to change posted menus up to 1 month out. We will contact you by phone or email and offer a transfer to another class of your choosing or a full refund if requested.

Out of Town Guest Cancellations (90 miles or greater from NYK): NYK will refund the full amount for guests who are in our area for a limited time if the class cancellation is prior to 72 hours (see policy above). Otherwise refer to “Act of God” section.

Short Group Show: NYK will not refund for no‐shows if a guest books a class reservation and attendees do not show. The 72-hour cancellation policy (see policy above) applies.
