Intro to Sausage Making

Sausage making is both traditional and regional, a meat preservation technique that has been used for hundreds of years.  In this class you’ll be grinding meat and casing sausages like a pro PLUS you’ll learn how to whip up simple and delicious meals with fresh sausage.

In the process, you’ll discover the tools, techniques, recipes, and general guidelines for making great tasting sausage. Each sausage produced will differ in texture, flavor, or protein source. At the end of the workshop,participants will try the sausages with NYS beer and each participant will take home samples of fresh sausage, recipes, cooking techniques and additional information on the topic. But best of all, you’ll have the knowledge to start making sausage at home!
